Nintendo Player's Choice budget range expands

Significant first and third party additions, including Zelda, F-Zero GX and Resident Evil 0 amongst others.

Nintendo's GameCube budget software label, Player's Choice, will expand to include more than 30 games from next Friday, as the platform holder introduces a wide variety of first and third party titles to the £20 range.

Critically acclaimed first and second party titles including The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, SoulCalibur II, F-Zero GX and Mario Party 5 will be made available from October 22nd, joining the likes of Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion.

Third party additions include FIFA Football 2004 from Electronic Arts - just as its successor climbs to the peak of the charts - along with Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Medal of Honour Rising Sun and Need for Speed Underground.

Activision's Spider-Man The Movie (UK only) will also swing into the budget section, alongside Capcom's Resident Evil 0, Ubisoft's Rayman 3 and Splinter Cell titles, and the likes of Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Mega Collection from SEGA.

Rounding off the list, Atari titles Dragonball Z Budokai and Enter the Matrix, THQ's Finding Nemo film adaptation, and Vivendi's Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly and The Simpsons Hit & Run will also find themselves reduced to £20 or thereabouts.
