FIFA 2004 demo released

Yeah, but PES3 is out on Friday.

EA has released a 36MB demo version of this year's footy series update, FIFA Football 2004 (or FIFA Soccer 2004 if you're American), offering you the chance to engage in four minutes of Juventus vs. AC Milan. We're going to give this a go to see whether EA Canada worked out its "off-ball" system, which apparently gives control of a selectable second runner over to the right analogue stick in certain situations. Crafty!

Whether it'll be able to compete with Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 3, which is out on PS2 this Friday (with some stores shipping early, we hear) and PC on November 7th, is another matter entirely.

You can download the demo here and the full game, as anybody who read the advertising hoardings during the England/Turkey game will well know, is out on October 31st on every format under the sun.
