Climax Brighton working on PS3/Xbox 2 title

Codenamed Avalon.

Climax has a working prototype of a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 2 online game up and running at its Brighton studio, the MotoGP developer announced this week. We're not sure if it's a racer or not, but the game, codenamed Avalon, is said to include vehicles on land, sea and in the air, and makes use of the company's recently announced cross-platform Blimey 2 engine.

Avalon is being developed by a Brighton-based team, which includes a number of members of the acclaimed MotoGP dev team. Brighton studio head Tony Beckwith feels that it's a big step forward for the company. "The fact that we're one of the first independent companies to start work on a next generation project reaffirms our commitment to remaining among the development elite," he said.
