MGS4 among big TGS line-up

Hail CESA!

Having already announced that there will be lots of exhibitors at the Tokyo Game Show, organisers CESA (the Computer Entertainment Software Association) have revealed a basic list of games we can definitely expect to see - with more to be confirmed.

Next-generation stuff first: the highest-profile title currently announced by a third party is probably Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4. We don't know what we'll see, but hopefully it'll be a bit more than the (admittedly amusing) E3 trailer, which was basically just an elaborate in-joke.

Konami will also have the likes of Winning Eleven 9 and Metal Gear Acid 2 on PSP, its new Castlevania titles on PS2 and DS, and a new entrant in Hideo Kojima's sun-sensor Boktai series for Game Boy Advance.

Square Enix fans can look forward to Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII as well as Code Age Commanders (both on PS2), while the likes of KOEI, Atlus, and even Atari Japan have already pledged to show things off.

We also understand that Sony and Microsoft are preparing their plans for the show as we type (well, maybe not as we type; it's only 9:30, so they're probably still checking email, swapping links with "NSFW" in the headline and trying to work out whose turn it is to fetch the coffee). We will of course keep you fully up to date.
