Worms Forts goes Live

Which ought to be a snug fit - most Live users we've encountered have no backbone anyway. Stop quitting our games!

Sega Europe has just announced that Team 17's Worms Forts Under Siege will be playable online via Xbox Live - something that we hinted at after seeing Live functionality built into a preview version just prior to E3.

All the usual options are accounted for - Quickmatch, Optimatch, voice support for three players, and various friends and player list options. According to a producer we spoke to prior to E3, downloadable content is also a possibility, although we were told at the time that no firm plans were in place on that front.

Worms Forts Under Siege is due out on PS2, Xbox and PC in Q4 in Europe.
