Dirge of Cerberus mobile plan

Exclusive to Amp'd in US.

Square Enix is planning to release mobile title Dirge of Cerberus: Lost Episode - one of its Compilation of Final Fantasy VII titles - exclusively through US carrier Amp'd Mobile for three months beginning this summer.

Quite what this means for Europe is anyone's guess (well, if it's anyone's it's Square Enix, but they haven't responded to our requests for comment), but it does mean that if you want to know what Vincent Valentine gets up to while he's tackling Deepground Soldiers, you're going to need to a) be American and b) buy it off Amp'd.

In case you missed the E3 announcement, Lost Episode picks up three years after Final Fantasy VII and combines third-person action and RPG elements, a bit like the PS2 Dirge of Cerberus, with multiplayer elements due to be added at a later date.

We'll let you know when we hear more about Square Enix's European mobile plans.
