SOCOM coming to PSP

Sony fires off new details.

Sony has revealed fresh information about the PlayStation Portable version of military shooter, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo.

Making its handheld debut, the Zipper Interactive-developed game will boast 14 missions, with a PSP exclusive operation in Chile.

Each map will provide five different 'Instant Action' modes, allowing players to engage in handheld-friendly bursts of ten minute games over certain objectives. Good thinking.

There will also be Wi-Fi multiplayer and the ability to data sync via USB with the forthcoming PlayStation 2 game, SOCOM III: US Navy SEALs. More snippets of information can be gleaned from the game series' official blogging site.

SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo will reach the US on November 8th. A UK release has yet to be confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Check back soon for official word from SCEE.
