Starbreeze's next gen title signed to Majesco

Team behind Riddick opts for US publishing deal.

The celebrated Swedish development studio behind EG-favourite The Chronicles Of Riddick has signed its next gen console title to US-publisher Majesco.

The untitled project is scheduled to ship in 2006, and following the accolades lavished upon Riddick earlier this year is likely to receive a fair bit of attention from those keen to see what the team comes up with next.

As for who is publishing the title in Europe, it appears somewhat up in the air at the moment, but historically Majesco's output has been distributed via Vivendi Universal Games - we await confirmation whether that will be the case this time around.

Starbreeze CEO Johan Kristiansson commented: "Majesco has a fine reputation in the development community for partnering with its developers to assemble a single, cohesive team dedicated to producing quality products. We are excited to be working with them on creating content for the next generation of video game systems."

We'll bring you more information on Starbreeze's new title as soon as we can. In the meantime, check back soon for our review of the expanded PC version of The Chronicles Of Riddick.
