Gray Matter delayed yet again

Jane Jensen comeback needs more time.

Long in gestation point and click adventure Gray Matter has been pushed back to February 2011, publisher Lace Mamba Global has announced.

Designed by Jane Jensen of Gabriel Knight fame, Gray Matter was first announced way back in 2003. It's hopped between various publishers and developers ever since, before dtp Entertainment picked it up and promised a 2010 release with Lace Mamba Global.

Turns out it was being overly optimistic.

"I understand that this is very frustrating for consumers," explained Jason Codd, Lace Mamba Global's commercial director, "but due to the tight time frames, and the need for more polishing of the game we had no alternative but to make a quick decision and delay the product until February.

"This will give the development team more time in ensuring that the game measures up to the standards that have been set, and we now know for certain that the date we have is the date Gray Matter will be available."

Eurogamer's Kristan Reed sat down for a chat with Jensen back in May and went hands-on with the spooky puzzle adventure.

Gray Matter will finally arrive on PC and Xbox 360 on 25th February 2011.
