The Gotham City Impostors closed beta begins in September.

Sign-ups to the beta are now open.

"Be aware that this is a closed beta with a limited number of codes, but when we start sending them out we'll be sure and let everyone know on Twitter and Facebook," developer Monolith said on the Gotham City Impostors website.

Multiplayer first-person shooter Gotham City Impostors is a download-only game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 due out next year.

It features 1000 levels of player advancement and plenty of upgrades and unlocks.
