Sony has revealed that a camera add-on for PSP will be available on 16th May.

It will cost you GBP 34.99, or EUR 49.99, and comes complete with a built-in microphone and editing suite.

Go!Cam sits neatly on top of your handheld and lets you shoot people until your heart is content - either in still pictures or video clips. You'll also be able to change the vertical direction of the camera by 180 degrees, getting snaps of all those difficult to reach places.

The Go!Edit software gives you the option of enhancing your films or photos with sounds and graphical effects in an easy-to-use editing suite.

"Go!Cam is fantastic news for all those PSP owners looking for something new, fun and creative," said Stephane Hareau, PSP marketing manager.

"With Summer around the corner and the ability to turn your PSP into a mini camcorder and capture all the best moments in your life, this is yet another reason to get a PSP and to take advantage of truly portable entertainment."
