The Forza Motorsport 4 demo is now available to download on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Gold members.

Gamers will need 1.27GB free to test Turn 10 Studio's simulation racer.

The trial version is based on the E3 2011 Forza 4 demo and includes a quick race option on the Bernese Alps track, Turn 10 boss Dan Greenawalt previously told Eurogamer.

A taster of the new Rivals mode - a competitive option similar to Need for Speed's Autolog - is also included.

Players will be able to test drive the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia, 2012 BMW M5, 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque.

At the time of writing the download is not accessible through the Demo tab - gamers must find Forza 4 via the Marketplace's A-Z search and nab it from there.

Alternatively, you can set it downloading via it's page on Xbox.com.
