Eurogamer appoints MMO editor

Oli joins team, new ABCE announced.

Eurogamer.net is very happy to announce that it has appointed Oli Welsh to the newly created post of MMO editor.

Oli will be fleshing out our massively multiplayer online game coverage going forward, with a dedicated MMO channel set to launch shortly.

Oli's not in the office today because I sent him to London to play a computer game, but if he were here I'm sure he'd pay tribute to my amazing leadership.

Speaking of my amazing leadership, the disgraced former regime led by Kristan Reed went out with a bang according to our latest ABCE audited traffic figures, which reveal that during November 2007 Eurogamer Network reached over 1.8 million unique users across its English, German and French websites.

During that time we also received over 14.7 million page impressions.

"We're very pleased to have added over half a million monthly unique users this year," said our MD Rupert Loman.

"This year we've strengthened our editorial team and rolled out design changes to the site which are paying off in terms of increased traffic for 2008 already," he added, which was surprisingly nice of him.

What he meant, of course, was that we've somehow done enough to keep lovely people like yourself coming back, and that we're very grateful every time you do. Thanks guys!
