Codemasters working on new racing IP

DiRT/GRID publisher branching out.

It seems Codemasters is doing its utmost to keep the UK games industry's racing heritage on track following the recent demise of Bizarre and Black Rock, with the announcement that it has a new IP in the works.

All we've currently got to go on is a number of job advertisements for programmers posted on the publisher's Facebook page.

Codemasters also has a number of other racing projects in the garage. GRID 2 is due to pull into retail sometime next year, whereas F1 2011 launches this September.

Its last track-based effort, DiRT 3, clocked an impressive 9/10 from Eurogamer's Martin Robinson earlier this year.
