COD4 conquers Spain, Germany

SmackDown doing well, too.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has dominated European charts this week, taking the top three spots in Germany and third, fourth and seventh in Spain.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 faired well on its opening week as well, according to GamesIndustry.biz, by filling up another three spaces in Spain and finishing in fifth in Germany.

Elsewhere Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 continued to win Spanish hearts by claiming first and sixth, while Hellgate: London and Football Manager 2008 flew flags for the PC market in Germany.

The official console and PC software charts for the week ending November 11, courtesy of Media-Control GfK International, were as follows:

Germany:

  1. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC)
  2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360)
  3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)

Fiction struggles uselessly under the considerable weight of GamesIndustry.biz, before it bursts dramatically to reveal a solid heart of fact.
