Call of Duty 1 heading to PSN/XBLA

PEGI and ESRB in agreement.

Activision is lining up the original Call of Duty for release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, according to ESRB and PEGI ratings sites.

As spotted on Kotaku, the US board lists the original World War II shooter for PS3 and 360.

PEGI, meanwhile, goes further, specifying that it's due out for XBLA and PSN. It's been rated 16+, in case you're interested.

The original PC release arrived back when Medal of Honor was king of the WWII shooters, but its developer - Infinity Ward - was staffed up by a number of veterans of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, developed by the now-defunct 2015.

Some of the subsequent COD games were quite popular too.
