Buena Vista renames itself
Maybe they squealed on the mob. What with it being Friday and all, Buena Vista Games has been mucking about on the Internet and has clearly stumbled on one of those online deed poll websites - the result of which is that it now wants to be called Disney Interactive Studios.
Mr. DIS' senior vice president and general manager (well which is it?) Graham Hopper says this "reflects our focus on creativity, the weight of Disney content in our portfolio, and the enormous value consumers see in the Disney brand".
Sounds fair enough, although the company is at pains to point out that it will continue to offer non-Disney brands as well, throughout its worldwide publishing operation. Like Every Extend Extra, for example, which is out today, and is really quite good.
