New video offers PS3 / PS4 comparison.

Batman: Return to Arkham, the remaster of Rocksteady's excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum and its open world follow-up Batman: Arkham City, comes out on 21st October 2016, Warner has announced.

The published released a five minute video, below, that compares the PlayStation 3 version of Arkham Asylum with the upcoming PS4 version, and then, from the 2 minute, 45 second mark, Arkham City.

Back in June, Warner delayed Batman: Return to Arkham, which was supposed to come out on 29th July. The publisher did not offer a revised release date, although later we heard it would launch this November.

The port is being developed by Chinese studio Virtuous with oversight from Rocksteady.

We'd heard the delay was sparked by concern around the quality of the port, with frame-rate mentioned as a major issue.

"After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience," Warner said at the time.

"We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans."
