CPL-Europe are holding their latest event at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London on the weekend of August 3rd to 5th. The main attractions are obviously the Quake 3 Arena teamplay tournament and Counter-Strike competition, both sponsored by ELSA with cash prizes totalling €30,000. But there is also a BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) area where you can enjoy some network gaming even if you're not taking part in the pro-gaming. Big screen action and live commentary from the likes of Sujoy, Killcreek and the ubiquitous Rik Henderson is being promised so that you can keep track of what's going on in the arena, and there's plenty of space for spectators.

There's room for up to 300 players in the BYOC area, making this probably the biggest LAN party held in central London to date, and entry is just £40 or €60 for the weekend, with a new credit card payment system now available for you to book your place. To find out more, head over to the ELSA CPL Championships website. And for those of you who can't make it, EuroGamer will of course be at the event providing full coverage throughout the weekend.
