Battletop announces massive games tournament

The official word has just arrived from Battletop that they will be running a massive professional gaming tournament in Korea in October, with dozens of gamers from fourteen different countries fighting it out across five games, including Quake III Arena, FIFA 2000, and of course Starcraft, which the Koreans have an inexplicable love affair with. $300,000 in cash prizes will be up for grabs at the event, which Battletop are calling the "World Cyber Game Challenge".

A British qualifier for the event has already been announced, taking place at the infamous Millenium Dome in London on September 9th, and there will also be a qualifier in Germany on the same day. Other events are taking place in Hong Kong, Beijing, Japan and America. For the full story, read the press release.
