sent word that Razer, makers of the Boomslang gaming mouse, will now be the main sponsor for the Frag 4 event in Dallas at the end of September. Previously HEAT.net had been lined up to sponsor the event, but since then HEAT.net owners Sega have announced that they are selling the company off, reportedly to rival American gaming service MPlayer.

Frag 4 will feature the CPL's first big teamplay competition, with 64 Quake 3 teams from around the world competing for $25,000 in cash prizes. There will also be unofficial Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament and even Doom II tournaments at the event, which has space for up to 400 players to hook up their computers for some low latency fragging. For more information, check the CPL website, where you can also sign up for the event.
