European Championship kicks off

Barrysworld's Quake III European Championship kicks off this weekend, with the first matches in this Europe-wide Quake 3 Arena teamplay tournament. The 27 countries represented, from Ireland to the Ukraine and Iceland to Cyprus, are split between six qualifier groups and will fight it out online over the next couple of months, with the winners from each group and two runners-up taking part in the LAN-based finals in London this September.
