Kevin Cloud Interview

have an interesting chat with Kevin Cloud of ID software. He talks about how he came upon ID software, and life as an artist working on some of the best games of all time.

"Although Quake was probably the most difficult project, I think we did some of our best work on it. I love all of the monsters in Quake. The fiend demon is particularly fun, and the lava demon at the end of Quake shareware is pretty damn scary"

He goes on to speak about ID, and how it has come so far from humble beginnings, "we're still a small company and everyone here works very hard. We've avoided any offers or advances that would harm our independence. We've grown the company not through hiring people, but though producing other titles, licensing our own titles and licensing our technology"
