What's new in the Apex Legends Evolution collection event?

Collection events introduce the opportunity to earn all sorts of cosmetics in Apex Legends every few months. Often making an impact due to the inclusion of a new Heirloom set, as well as skins and other items, there is also a focus around a specific character that causes a makeover on maps, modes, and so on.

Rampart's own Heirloom set features a pipe wrench with a gumball dispenser.

This time Rampart gets the highlight, and she's taking over both World's Edge and Arenas with her own style and a new shop. Elsewhere, there are event-limited cosmetics to unlock for both Rampart and six other legends, alongside an array of balance changes to keep an eye on.

At a glance, here's what you can expect as part of the Apex Legends Evolution collection event:

  • New Heirloom set: Problem Solver (Rampart)
  • New World's Edge point of interest called Big Maude: Located near Lava City, this point of interest features a shop where you can spend collected materials on Rampart's Custom Modded Paintball Weapons from new Vend-it Machines. While they have a high price, they're fully equipped with attachments at different tiers
  • The point of interest also features a paintball court
  • New Rampart's Arenas Extravaganza takeover: Rampart will offer discounts on her modded weapons, making lower tier versions of them unavailable - these will be on rotation during matches
  • New challenges to earn cosmetic items: There's a total of 15 awards to unlock, ranging from 250 to 5000 points, which include weapon skins, charms and more
  • New character balance updates for Rampart, Revenant, Octane and Bloodhound
  • New weapon balance updates for Hemlok, Bocek Compound Bow, L-STAR, Triple Take, and both EVA-8 and Mozambique shotguns
  • New quality of life updates: Evo Shields in deathboxes now show their health, character portraits to 'detected' widget for recon characters and an Early Leaver Warning has been added, amidst other tweaks
  • Bug fixes across characters and maps
