A horror game within an Oculus Rift game?
Works surprisingly well. Here's an interesting idea: a game played on a telly within an Oculus Rift game.
The game on the telly is a simple horror game, played alone in a darkened-house-at-night setting. The player doesn't move from the sofa.
The game is called Alone (via NeoGAF), and the set-up enables elements of the game within a game to bleed up a layer into the player's virtual reality. What's more, it also seems to keep the player immersed for longer, with fewer-to-no breaks when the Oculus Rift headset is removed so the player can get their real-life bearings back.
Alone seems to provide a powerful experience all amusingly conveyed by the VR Brotherhood Let's Player who can't stop saying "what the f***?" when freaky things happen.
