Virtua Tennis 4 for PS3 has been unveiled at Sony's gamescom press conference in Cologne, Germany.
The game was officially announced, although not demonstrated. The next entry in SEGA's tennis series appeared in showreels for the PlayStation Move motion controller and PS3 3D, and Sony Europe boss Andrew House confirmed it will support both technologies.
Tom, reporting live, said it looked "quite effective" in 3D. Watching actual real-life tennis is said to be one of the best applications of 3D TV too, so we can believe him.
Obviously, no other formats were mentioned - but don't rule it out. Sumo Digital's Virtua Tennis 2009 - which followed 2007's Virtua Tennis 3 - appeared on 360, PC, Wii and PS3 last year. Expect an official announcement from SEGA soon.
