US charts: NCAA for 360 wins July

Wii Fit, Guitar Hero DS play catchup.

NPD has released US sales data for July, revealing NCAA Football 2009 as the most popular title.

Nearly 400,000 copies of the Xbox 360 version were sold during the month. Wii Fit came a close second with 370,000, followed by DS game Guitar Hero: On Tour (310,000). Half the games in the top ten were for Nintendo machines, while it was 3-2 for Microsoft and Sony.

Overall, sales totalled USD 591 million during July - that's an increase of 41 per cent over the same month last year. Cumulative 2008 sales now stand at USD 4.9 billion.
