UPDATE: Joystiq has managed to pull what seems to be the full roster of new fighters directly off the Capcom site.

If the information is correct, the 12 new additions are: Strider, Firebrand, Vergil, Frank West, Phoenix Wright and Nemesis for Capcom; Ghost Rider, Dr Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Hawkeye and Iron Fist for Marvel.

ORIGINAL STORY: Capcom has officially announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November at a mid-range price, it adds 12 new fighters, bringing the roster total up to 50.

The first batch to be announced are Strider and Ghost 'n Goblins villain Firebrand for Team Capcom, while Ghost Rider and Hawkeye join Marvel's squad.

You'll also have eight extra stages to duke it out on and new game modes, including Spectator Mode which lets you watch live online matches with friends.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will also offer "a host of enhancements and new features to improve the game's balance and online functionality," according to the announcement.
