Tribes: Ascend beta release date

Jump in next month.

The Tribes: Ascend beta begins on 4th November, Hi-Rez Studios has announced.

Confirmation comes from an interview between Hi-Rez boss and Cyberlink.

You can apply to take part in the closed beta on the Tribes Ascend website.

The closed beta features four multiplayer maps, two game modes and three vehicles, and supports up to 32 players, with 12 classes.

Free-to-play shooter Tribes: Ascend is the multiplayer successor to Tribes 2 and the "re-introduction" of the franchise to the gaming world.

Hi-Rez will make money through the sale of load-outs, which determine your character type: light, medium or heavy, the two weapons you can carry, your explosive type and your character augmenting pack.

Players will buy them either with real world money or currency earned at a slower rate from playing matches. New load-outs will be added regularly to keep the game fresh.
