There's a new Minecraft mode on consoles today

Let's get ready to Tumble.

In the words of PJ and Duncan, let's get ready to tumble, let's get ready to tumble, let's get, let's get ready ready, let's get ready to tumble.

Tumble is Minecraft's second official mini-game to launch on console, and it's available now as a free update for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

After the previous addition of Battle mode, Tumble is again a player-versus-player affair - although instead of targeting other people, it's all about removing the floor beneath them.

Tumble arenas are one block thick and suspended over a giant pool of lava. The aim of the game is to be the last player standing - and to send all other players falling to their doom.

It looks like quick, fleeting fun. At the same time, there's a new paid-for Battle map pack available to expand that mode with some new areas.

Altogether now: Partners in crime, we'll never do time / A sentence for us, has to end in a rhyme / Raw and pure like sushi, don't try to do me, use me or even try to sue me. [Repeat to fade].
