Take Trials Rising for a spin in next week's open beta

Fast track.

If you've been wanting to take Ubisoft's latest motorbike game for a trial run, now's your chance, as Trials Rising is making its way into open beta next week.

The test period runs from 21st to 25th February, and can be accessed on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. It's the first time Switch players will be able to get their paws on the game, as the closed beta was not available on the platform.

According to the press release, riders will have access to a "special set of features and progression flow, along with global multiplayer". This includes 18 tracks, five bikes (squid, rhino, mantis, helium and a two-player tandem bike) and 25 contracts - along with a turbo bike exhaust, which players can use on the helium bike to "make it roar like a real motorbike". Players can unlock this item during the beta and keep it if they buy the full game.

There's also a physical version of this, which - er, looks like it will annoy the neighbours.

If you want to read more about the open beta, make sure to check out Ubisoft's website. The main game, meanwhile, is due to release on 26th February. It's not wheelie my thing, but I know a few other people in the Eurogamer office are getting revved up for it.
