Swery65 retires from Access Games, the studio he co-founded

"I hope I will be back," he says, noting his troubled health is improving.

Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die director Hidetaka "Swery65" Suehiro has left Access Games, the studio he co-founded in 2002.

Swery and his 'partner' Sharapova the monkey.

Almost exactly one year ago Swery65 wrote a blog post about how we'd be taking a break from game development to focus on his recovery from reactive hypoglycemia. At the time he stated "When I recover from my illness, I'm going to do my best to make games that are better and more awesome than ever before!"

The acclaimed director assured everyone on Twitter that he's on the mend health-wise, and we should not worry about him.

"Day 360, Unfortunately I retired from Access Games after all. However Don't worry, because my health condition is getting [to] be fine. Love you!" Swery65 stated.

It sounds like this is more of a "see ya later" than "goodbye" as he later tweeted "I hope I will be back. Because I AM 'SWERY6'".

Indeed he is, and he's got the tattoo to prove it.
