SteelSeries' best gaming headset for PS5 is now on offer

Save over £25 on Digital Foundry's top wireless headset pick.

The SteelSeries Arctis 7P - the best wireless headset for PS5 and PS4 according to Digital Foundry - has now been reduced by a little over £25.

The Arctis 7P has dropped from its regular price of £159.99 to £133.32 at Amazon UK. It's another slightly peculiar discount that follows the price cut on the Xbox Series X/S Storage Expansion Card just yesterday.

Even though it's still a hefty price tag there are a lot of worthwhile benefits to the Arctis 7P that make it one of the best gaming headsets. Digital Foundry gave it top marks for its comfortable design, impressive durability, excellent sound quality and healthy 24-hour battery life.

The design of the headset incorporates a fabric suspension headband that ensures a well-balanced fit, while a durable and lightweight steel frame means you can play for extended sessions without irritation.

The headset's high-quality sound is built upon the successes of the previous Arctis 7 model and the balance can all be adjusted on the fly with controls on the earcups. The ClearCast microphone performs admirably too, with background noise filtered out to retain clarity.

You'll need to use the supplied dongle to connect it to your PS5 or PS4 console through low-latency 2.4GHz wireless, but that does provide better audio quality compared to Bluetooth. You can also use a 3.5mm cable for an impromptu wired connection, should that be needed. Lastly, the Arctis 7P is also compatible with PC, Android and Nintendo Switch. If you want the version that'll natively work on Xbox consoles you'll have to go for the Arctis 7X instead, although that is still at full price.

In any case, the Xbox Wireless Headset might be a better option if you're on a Microsoft console considering it's a brilliant bit of kit and £70 cheaper. Stock is often hard to find, but it's available at Amazon and the Microsoft Store at the time of writing.
