Splinter Cell: Blacklist delayed to August 2013

UPDATE: UK release date confirmed.

UPDATE: Ubisoft has confirmed a UK release date of 23rd August for Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

ORIGINAL STORY: Splinter Cell: Blacklist has been delayed to August 2013, Ubisoft has announced.

It was due out in the spring.

The new release date is 20th August, IGN revealed. The website also has a new trailer to go along with the announcement.

The trailer, below, shows the game will release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but there is no mention of the Nintendo Wii U. In October last year pictures of a Wii U version of Splinter Cell: blacklist popped up in GameStop in Ireland. Ubisoft declined to comment on that at the time.

And earlier, in June, US retailer Best Buy briefly listed the game on its website.
