Space Invaders plus two for XBLA

Tomorrow's trio also features zombies.

Microsoft has said to expect three new Xbox Live Arcade games tomorrow - Space Invaders Extreme and Arkanoid Live! from Square-owned Taito, and Zombie Wranglers from Activision. All three will cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).

Already seen on PSP and DS, Space Invaders Extreme is a disco-dancing update to the classic eighties shoot-'em-up, featuring a new, in-depth scoring mechanic based on shooting certain enemy colour combinations. We thought it was great on handhelds.

We didn't think that about Arkanoid Live!, but everyone gets a second chance. It's a Breakout update, with 62 rounds, online play, and a difficult-to-read logo.

Finally there's Zombie Wranglers, a former Vivendi game developed by Frozen Codebase. We've already had one excellent zombie game this week - are we about to get another? Probably not, but we're only saying that because third-person action games are out of fashion in the office after, you know, Wolverine.
