Sci-fi MMO Wildstar out in June

Pre-order bonuses announced.

Carbine Studios' subscription-based science fiction MMO Wildstar releases worldwide on 3rd June, NCSoft has announced.

The game is available to pre-order at £34.99. If you pre-order you get early access to several closed and open beta events and receive exclusive in-game items, the publisher added.

Early game access begins on Tuesday 31st May, three days before the game launches. Pre-order bonus items include a Rocket House, a mini-ship house decoration, a 10-slot storage bag and the opportunity to reserve character and guild names prior to launch.

There are two versions of Wildstar: the Standard Edition includes the game, 30 days of play time and an Eldan-themed Housing Décor item.

The Deluxe Edition costs £15 more and includes an Eldan Hoverboard, a unique costume, a unique Eldan player title, and a limited-edition Eldan dye set, as well as all of the gubbins in the Standard Edition.

After the 30 days play time expires, you need to fork out £9 a month to keep playing. More on Wildstar's unique business model in Oli's report.

"We're stoked to launch WildStar", said executive producer Jeremy Gaffney.

"We're looking forward to seeing the first players begin their journey on the unexplored planet of Nexus.  Both noobs and MMO vets will have a blast with our fast-paced combat, while experienced guilds and groups will build complete battle-fortresses using our Warplot system and tackle some truly epic raids.

"We've aimed for fun and unique content for MMO gamers of all stripes from level one to level cap and beyond.  WildStar is a brand new IP and new universe that has attracted more than 1.4 million beta signups already, so it seems like other gamers are also eager for something new and different in the MMO space".
