Samus Amiibo misprint sells for $2500 on eBay

"I am very happy with how it turned out."

The erroneously constructed Samus Aran Amiibo we reported on last week ended its eBay auction with an astronomically high winning bid of $2500.

I never asked for this.

The misprinted figurine has arm cannons on both arms, rather than just the one. This prompted 19 users to place a total of 75 bids over the one-of-a-kind toy.

We've reached out to seller jetfour to confirm that these bids are on the level, but have yet to hear back. However, the seller told GameSpot, "I am very happy with how it turned out," suggesting that the winning bid is legit.

"I was considering hanging on to it to sell at a later date if the value did increase," he noted. "However, with the high level of interest shown at the time when I posted it, I thought I'd go ahead and sell it now in case the value went down or a whole tub of them was discovered at a later date."

The dual arm-cannon Samus cost jetfour $13 when it was purchased at Best Buy. That's a hell of a profit!
