XBLA, VC, Live, PSN - got money?

Slowly cranking back into life, this gaming industry, after it gorged itself on Santa and wrapping paper. And while the PAL release list looks malnutritioned, those with extra change in their pocket can splash it on a few bits and pieces lurking in dark corners on the Internet.

Little of note, though, unless you count the Rockstar catalogue now on Steam and with a 10 percent discount ending at some point today. Or the free Portal: First Slice extended demo along with Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Peggle Extreme all free for Steamers with NVIDIA cards. There's always the new Sam & Max 202: Moai Better Blues episode as well, although you can't actually buy it at the moment because Telltale is having some problems.

If you have a 360 you might like to hop on Live Arcade and nab Omega Five because it is pretty good, or you can pinch Tron because it is old and so Kristan is going to review it. Also, if you live over there where combining bacon and pancakes works then you can eat up some new Rock Band songs.

Elsewhere Sony shifted more PSone games onto the Store, alongside even more costly MotorStorm content (when will it stop?) and free bits for role-playing game Folklore.

Other things, other things; didn't think this was going to be funny like Tom's, did you? StarTropics and Alien Storm on Virtual Console. There. Done. List below. Finish.
