Nintendo has officially announced Overwatch is coming to Switch next month

Recall.

It's really happening. The very first announcement from Nintendo Direct has revealed Overwatch is being ported to the Switch.

Of course, this particular announcement isn't really a surprise at this point, but we were still treated to our first Switch gameplay footage nonetheless.

Overwatch will be making its official Switch debut on the 15th October, with a unique feature to the Switch allowing players to use motion controls for abilities like Junkrat's Rip-Tire and Hammond's movement while he's rolling.

It's not hard to get me excited about Overwatch, but a lot of the news about it this year has been particularly interesting. The game has seen some of the biggest changes since its original release in 2016, and with it coming to a new console, now is as good a time as any to get into this truly essential FPS.
