Stolen developer closes doors

Blue Monday for studio, but stealth sim still on course for April release.

London development studio Blue 52 has gone into liquidation, according to a report in trade publication MCV.

The company confirmed that its highly-anticipated stealth sim, Stolen, is still on course for an April release on PC, PS2 and Xbox. However, there is no word yet as to the future of console FPS Deadlight.

“Blue 52 has been liquidated because it was unable to continue to support the overheads necessary for several development teams and a separate technology and tools department,” Blue 52 co-director Jaid Mindang told MCV.

"We are continuing to pursue new development contracts with other publishing partners," he added.

Sources say a small team is currently completing work on Stolen at new premises. Core staff members are hoping to set up a new development team under the name of Curve Games Studios later this year.
