Double Agent dated, demo plans

PC and 360 trials planned.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent will be released in the States on October 19th, according to Ubisoft.

The news comes by way of the official forum, where Ubi community manager (and, yes, part-time Frag Doll) Rhoulette says we can expect to see it there then. Well, Americans can.

Over here, meanwhile, Ubisoft's most recent schedule, delivered to the press yesterday, puts the game on European shelves at the "end of October".

That's on PC DVD, Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2 and Cube according to the 'soft.

Ubisoft's also planning demo versions. There won't be a public beta test of the PC versus mode ala Chaos Theory, sadly, but there will be a 360 multiplayer demo, and single- and multiplayer demos for PC.

Rhoulette also noted that these would most likely appear prior to release.
