New tracks for TrackMania
Of the musical kind, thanks to some rising stars from the Academy of Contemporary Music.
Digital Jesters has announced that TrackMania Sunrise will feature a soundtrack by artists so painfully cool you haven't even heard of them yet.
It's all thanks to a deal between developer Nadeo and the Academy of Contemporary Music, which is a bit like the Fame school only with less legwarmers and more Bashment.
The artists will include D&B produce Dan Money - no relation to Loadsa - and Big Wednesday, who played on the main stage at Guilfest 2004 supporting some artists so old we haven't even heard of them (Blondie and The Stranglers, in case you have).
There's also Silvermaker, Total Guitar magazine's unsigned band of the month, and Hijera - the people behind "Southampton's legendary Quench club nights." So we can expect lots of bleep-bleep music as well as jangly rawk geetars, in other words.
TrackMania Sunrise features more than 100 different courses and is billed as "one of the most unique racers on the market", combining "the stupendous leaps and trickery of Tony Hawks with the track-building of Scalextric and the compulsive challenge of a platform game with a retina-searing turn of speed."
