Poor old Sony, eh? The most exciting firmware ever is broken and hackers have probably mucked up its website.

Fortunately, things cheer up a bit tomorrow with the European release of the DualShock 3 controller for GBP 39.99, giving PS3 owners the long-awaited option to shake, rattle and tilt. Tons of games support it and the mechanism inside also means it's a bit heftier than the Sixaxis.

Not only that, but Buzz finally arrives on PS3 with wireless controllers - and those controllers actually work on the PS2 as well, which is handy. Buzz! Quiz TV is also preceded by MyBuzz! - a website that lets you design your own quizzes and them import them into the game.

Plus of course there's the equally long-awaited release of the slightly disappointing echochrome. Sony hasn't officially confirmed that the PSN version is out today, but the PSP version is out tomorrow so the stars seem to be aligning.

Finally, PS3 owners can get their hands on Ferrari Challenge, Eutechnyx and System 3's prancing pony racing simulation. It looks a bit like a PS2 game in the videos, but the fact the PRs have failed to get us any review code at this late stage despite reassurances to the contrary presumably means it's in huge demand! What else could it mean?

Elsewhere, Xbox 360 zealots finally get their sloppy seconds with Unreal Tournament 3, which will be reviewed on the site today. Given how much we liked the PS3 and PC versions, it looks like a safe bet, which is handy, because it's also virtually the only bet for 360 owners.

Finally finally finally, there's Space Invaders Extreme on DS and PSP, which is actually rather good. Look out for a review soon.
