Microsoft Halo Kinect game clue found
Is it Milo and Master Chief?
The first rumblings of a Halo game for Kinect have been heard.
They come from website domain checker Whois, which names Microsoft the owner of kinecthalo.com (via ThatVideoGamesBlog).
While a traditional first-person shooter Halo game for Kinect seems unlikely, a spin-off experience undermines what we've been told by Microsoft in the past.
"When people say, 'Why don't you have Halo?' - well, I don't want Halo on Kinect. I want Halo on a controller," said Xbox marketeer Albert Penello last summer.
But did we really believe him? This is Microsoft's mega IP we're talking about, and if anything can draw attention to Kinect, Halo can.
Nevertheless, Microsoft's future plans for the Halo IP are hazy. Series creator Bungie has gone off to work with Activision, leaving 343 Industries in charge of Master Chief and pals. But what 343 is busy making we don't know. In December last year we heard that a Halo remake was being built using the Reach engine, with a 2011 release planned.
And, whisper whisper, what of Halo 4? Is this summer's E3 event too late to reveal an autumn Halo game?
