LBP Vita to "revolutionise" portable

Sackboy's latest brings "new ways to play".

Sony has lifted the lid on how LittleBigPlanet is making the transition to the newly named PlayStation Vita, promising to "revolutionise portable gaming" in the process.

A new trailer highlighted how the title will take full advantage of Vita's hardware feature set. Rear touch, for example, is used to poke objects forward from the back of a level. Meanwhile, multi-touch is used in multiplayer with two players using either end of the screen.

Obviously, online is supported and sharing creations with the community will be a major part of the experience.

The video also confirmed that the Vita version will feature "all the tools from LittleBigPlanet 2", going on to trumpet the appeal of "your very own handmade arcade". Which, in the age of the App, could prove to be the ace up the game's sleeve.

Sony confirmed that the game is playable in the demo area that opened up after the conference ended. Eurogamer's LA Hit Squad is going hands-on as we type, so expect a detailed assessment soon.
