Karl Lagerfeld to play DJ in GTA IV

He's up for political incorrectness.

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will play a DJ in Grand Theft Auto IV.

That's according to New York Magazine, which reports you'll be able to hear him talk and listen to songs he's selected while driving around.

Apparently Lagerfeld "picked his favourite electronica and dance music and peppered the selection with some of his rapid-fire commentary".

The designer is quoted as saying it was "friendship at first sight" when he met with Rockstar to negotiate the deal. He describes the GTA titles as "games of our times", adding, "Those games in a way changed the world."

Lagerfeld continued, "They had written a politically incorrect dialogue. I loved it, [particularly] in a time when everybody wants to be so politically correct when they talk.

"I prefer to be in a video [game, presumably] than to play with it. I would love to be a very nasty, politically incorrect character."

Grand Theft Auto IV is still out on PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 29th. It will still be out on PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 29th tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that. And so on. Until April 29th, when Grand Theft Auto IV is out on PS3 and Xbox 360.
