Jonah is Chief Librarian in Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 3

And you can mess about with his model now.

Sega's announced a new elite unit for Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 3 - and put out a cool 3D render you can play around with.

Jonah Orion is the Blood Raven's Chief Librarian, which means he's a Space Marine with devastating psychic power (no, he doesn't tell everyone to shhh).

As the lore goes, Jonah was promoted to Chief Librarian by Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos in recognition for his services on Aurelia (Jonah somehow survived Dawn of War 2 and the fight against Arch-Traitor Azariah Kyras).

Here's the official blurb:

In Relic's real-time strategy sequel, Elites are super powerful units that basically bully everyone else. You can have three at your disposal at any one time, picked from a selection before a battle.

On the battlefield, Elite units cost Elite Points to call in, and some Elites are more expensive than others. So, you need to think about the Elites you pick so you have options early, mid and late game.

Jonah is a support Elite who buffs his allies and does well with crowd control. He also has a cool demonic cherub familiar.

I played Dawn of War 3 recently and enjoyed it, although concern remains over the new art style and cover system. I thought being able to mess about with Jonah's model was pretty cool, hence this article.

But really, I'm waiting for the big Ork reveal, because, let's be honest, Orks are da best.
