Humble Indie Bundle 5 breaks records

Latest pack raises $5.1 million from 600,000 downloads.

The fifth Humble Indie Bundle has proven to be the most successful release in the series to date, organisers have announced.

The pay-what-you-want PC and Mac pack - which included Bastion, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Limbo, Psychonauts and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP - raised $5,106,764 from 598,978 purchases.

The average purchase on Windows was $7.97, the average on Mac was $9.99 and on Linux $12.50.

Minecraft creator Markus 'Notch' Persson was among the top contributors, handing over $12,345 for the five games.

All revenue is divided between the developers, the organisers and charity, with the customer deciding the split.
