See how Hours of Darkness puts a stealthy spin on the traditional Far Cry formula

We've gotta get out of this place.

Hours of Darkness, the first DLC chapter for Far Cry 5 season pass holders is now out. Following hot on the heels of last week's release of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, Hours of Darkness transports you to the jungles of Southeast Asia for a brief but entertaining Vietnam war story.

Taking place on a brand new, but relatively small map, Hours of Darkness puts a stealthy twist on Far Cry 5's standard gameplay by awarding you special perks for every undetected kill. There are four perks in total that, when earned, allow you to do things like make less noise when running and auto-tag enemies within a certain range.

Get spotted by an enemy though and those perks will instantly reset, leaving you at the mercy of whatever lies waiting for you in the dark depths of the jungle.

This heavy emphasis on stealth combined with some impressive visuals and haunting audio (the distant echoes of the Propaganda Speakers being a highlight) helps create a tense atmosphere that's on par with old-school Vietnam action flicks.

If you want to find out more about Hours of Darkness, have a watch of my video above where I tell you about nine things you don't know about the DLC, because you weren't there, maaaan.
