Got a spare 50 minutes for a Final Fantasy 15 gameplay video?

Like, who doesn't!

Perhaps in an effort to ease the pain of the recently announced Final Fantasy 15 delay, Square Enix has released a humongous gameplay video for it.

There are 50 minutes to gawp at, showcasing what appears to be the start of the game. There's awkward dialogue, cheesy interactions, and a car - it's wonderfully Final Fantasy.

Most if not all facets of the game are on show, from character levelling to car exploration, and from combat to even a spot of fishing.

Square Enix announced recently that Final Fantasy 15 would be released 29th November and not September as previously expected. The reason for the delay was so the team could incorporate a final update on the disc rather than as a patch - commonly known as a day one patch.

"As a team, we want Final Fantasy 15 to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding," director Hajime Tabata said in a message to camera.

The release date of CGI film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15, which tells a story that runs in parallel to the events of the game (and looks brilliantly ridiculous) has not changed. It will be out 30th August as planned. A video showing the first 12 minutes of the film appeared on the internet today as well (embedded above).
